any resolution is fine at 63 hertz

i use 1024*768/32 bit@63 hertz

say slayer, i have a geforce 6600 graphics card and i put my max fps at 333, what should i change all of the other stuff to in order to calibrate this? such as the maxpackets, display refresh and debugmove as you just said

You get steady 333 FPS with GeForce 6600?

My GeForce 6800 gets steady 200 FPS at lowest settings.

Be sure you get S T E A D Y 333 FPS!

Do "/cg_drawfps 1" then run around the map and only if your FPS is A L W A Y S 333 then "/com_maxfps 333" is suitable for you.

If you do get steady 333 FPS then "/cl_maxpackets 37" is optimal. And, with 333 FPS, "/r_displayrefresh 111" is optimal. Of course, "/r_displayrefresh 60" is fine for any FPS.



On another note: we experienced problems when ownt server went to "/sv_fps 25"

This happened for 1 or 2 reasons:

**clients were at "/snaps 20" or clients do not have enough bandwidth or processing to handle 25

**server does not have enough bandwidth or processing to handle 25

I predict the lag is due to clients not having "/snaps 25" because when server had "/sv_fps 25" i experienced better performance and only some clients experienced lag.
