Why you should be unbanned: i don't know what i could've done to be banned, its a name.. i didn't have one Ownt|whateverrank|Duck on it was just Ducky.

Yes i know i'm using my brothers account for this topic, because i don't want to get spammed.

From what i understand after talking to some ppl he had the name on before he came to our server. The server logs might be able to verify that but bannin a person because of a name is over the top. He was NOT impersonating a member he simply had the name ducky, which really isnt like Ownt|Duck at all. Now i wasnt there at the time so i didnt know if his attitude was lackin but come on admins, we cannot keep doin this. If we go ban happy pretty soon our servers will become ghost towns. There are to few CoD 1.3 players left to drive ppl away.

I second that, everyone needs to relax. Stop getting pissed off all the freakin time. Just be cool and let things sort themselves out. And Duck if this is true, stop being a little cry baby about someone having a name similar to yours. Just shush and keep playing the game.

Azim personally complained to me about manny kicking him. The basic problem, ownt duck was ingame, azim was named ducky. Then manny and duck in vent thought that ducky(azim) was trying to mess with duck or impersonate him. I talked to both of them, manny did tell him to take the name off multiple times, also issued 2 kick warnings then a TEMP BAN. azim's/duckys ban is temp not perm so this thread is not really needed. Azim did not see these warnings(so he says),nor did he think he needed to change his name so thats how it ended up where it did. I basically just told azim to wait it out (temp bans cant be lifted), and not play as ducky.To hell just let him be. Overall I do think maybe duck and manny took alittle to much offense to this, on the other hand if azim stated who he was i think this wouldnt of happened so I really am not putting any blame on manny/duck.

NOTE: I wasnt there, this is just info I gathered from talking to both parties. Also manny said he issued a temp ban and im trusting that thats all he did.

even if this thread isnt needed it brings up a good point, no offense to all the admins, me included, WE ARE BAN HAPPY. Every1 needs to take a step back and relax. If Vix looks at this thread I seriously believe we need a meetin among the admins to talk, some issues are getting pushed to far.

Even though I can't speak for vix anymore. But I think I can guarentee there will be a investigation into this..

duck was making a HUGE deal out of it and i told both hell and duck that the name wasnt an issue and did NOT need to be kicked/temp banned becuase of a similar name. Duck was pmsing apparently but this isn't acceptable in my opinion. just stupidity.

and azim clearly saw all warnings, because his words were "whats the problem with the name ducky" or something along those lines and i said i dont see a problem because he wasnt impersonating, then he got temp banned. Azim did see all of the warnings bush. I was there.

Azim You may continue to wear the name ducky, but id rather you be Ownt|Azim|rank.

This is all a big joke, banning cause of a name. Only time a someone should be banned for a name is if its inappropriate or impersonating a ownt member, which doesn't apply in this case.

Azim was in the server under the name ducky. Ownt|duck was also in the server

this is fairly rediculous... this is like saying if a first time player who knows nothing about the game puts on the name animal and comes in our server we will temp ban him... as long as they are not wearing ownt tags and doing it deliberately to mess with the person... what is the big deal... now we are telling people that they cant wear these names either.... really?

And yes, Azim had been wearing the name "Ducky" all day long..Even on TDI.
As long as he didn't have on ownt tags, and he wasn't trying to impersonate Duck, He did NOTHING wrong, and should be unbanned.

We already got past the banning part hell. Alot of us are sayin he never shouldve been kicked or temp banned in the first place. I seriously believe we need an admin meeting.

Even so, this goes to you with RCON. Don't try to please what people ask of you. If they say "Hey kick this kid" You say no, and quietly spec and look at him. Dont appease what one person says just so they stop bitching and complaining. Thats my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure it was longer than 5 minutes..About an hour after he was banned, he still couldn't get in..
We need to get to the bottom of this..We can't have people getting banned without reason..5 minute ban, or perm ban..IDC..Can't happen...Admin meeting?
