I reinstalled Windows XP Home edition around 2 weeks or more ago, and it keeps saying __ left days for activation. Right now it is 18 days left, and I have been putting in my cd key that is on my pc, but it says it's not a valid key code. If anyone could help me that would be great.

I had this happen to me at one point but the reason I couldn't activate my key was because it was locked to the USA.

Your key is whats known as OEM software I'm guessing, which means it will activate once, but then after that you're outta luck. Hope this helps and sorry I couldn't say that earlier, was gone at camp.

True OEM can only be activated once, but if it's the same computer with the same hardware it should activate again.
