Romanian might be gone.

I'm taking my laptop to BestBuy soon to get it checked up. My fans are getting extremely loud and my whole system freezes from time to time while making a
"drrrrrrr" sound.

I'm hoping I can just get rid of this and get my money back, but it's been about a year so I doubt that will be happening.

Anyway, if they fix the problem, I'll probably still be in game from time to time, but I'll be looking to sell my laptop.

If they don't fix it, I probably won't be in game as much, but I always have my iTouch for the forums.

If I can get rid of this laptop, I'll get my dad's HP Elite (which is waaay better than this gamer laptop) and I'll be partying.

Must be retarded laptop if it's making "DRRRRRR" sounds...
If it's the fans doing it take it apart and spray air duster or something that blows out compressed air, and try tightning them up if there too loose. NOT TO TIGHT it'll cause the pc to overheat and blow something, might wanna go to the BestBuy tech and just get it replaced if you can.

I took it to Best Buy's Geek Squad and they will be sending it out to the factory for a complete check. Thank God I'm still within the warranty.

It will take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks until I get it back. I will not be in game during this time. I hope it's only 2 weeks...

The guy from Geek Squad said that if I get a new one, I can return it to the store and get my money back please God!!

Best Buy called me and said my laptop is ready for pick-up.

I drove over (5 minutes away from my house) very eagerly with my laptop case and receipt.

I walked up to the counter and the girl there recognized me and brought me my laptop without me even showing her the receipt. I'm thinking, "Dang, I need to stop buying crap..." lol

So she brought me my laptop and this is me: -> in under 1.37 seconds.

My baby was scratched up so badly!! Looked like someone threw their car keys on it repeatedly.

Oh man...

I initially took it there to get the battery replaced and a check-up on my fan (it was getting really loud).

I checked my battery: was at ~50% and still an hour and something left. Before, it was fully charged at 100% and I had an hour. Now it looks like I'll be getting ~2 hours on battery. Sweet...

I checked the fan for any noises: Very quiet from what I could hear over the noise of Best Buy.

The laptop was running overall a lot smoother and I was happy about that, but the casing was scratched up very badly, so I refused to take it.

So they gave me my new battery and sent the laptop back to get the whole casing replaced.




Basically, I'll have a laptop that runs a lot smoother, a lot quieter, and a lot newer-looking because of the casing they will be replacing.

Note: I take very very good care of my stuff, so the laptop looked like new when I first gave it to Best Buy to send out to the factory.

I hate people that have no regard for other peoples property.

I did the same thing after I added the full edition of PS CS5 to mine

My dad is the greatest man on the face of this planet.

He got a call from Best Buy yesterday while I was at a friend's house preparing for an early Christmas celebration. They said they had my laptop, but the factory refused to replace my casing denying that it was their fault. My dad did not tell me until this morning. I was devastated. I almost started crying. I admit.

So we went over to Best Buy and looked it over again. My dad refused to even touch the machine and said he wasn't leaving until he got a new case for the laptop. Our family is very picky in the sense of taking care of our belongings. Not to brag, but if you ever come to my house, you will be surprised at how nice and clean it always is.

The manager that sold me the laptop in the first place came over and was very kind to us after we went through 2 employees and a lower manager (God bless her arrogant heart). He was very calm and actually listened to us instead of trying to force a $20 Gift Card to shut us up. He said he agrees with us and apologized for the inconvenience. (this was an hour after we talked to the other people.) He told me to go in the store and pick out something similar to my laptop and he'd exchange it with no extra charge.

I went around and saw an ASUS G73jh (I had the ASUS G72gx, the G73jh is the model after mine). I asked him if it was alright if we traded that. He said, "Of course!"

Oh my GOD!!

He did the transaction, did an override on the Best Buy system and got me a brand, spankin' new ASUS G73jh.

I never prayed so much for a computer in my life as we were driving to Best Buy. Hey, He listened.

I had no problems whatsoever running CoD1 on my G72, it's AT&T that makes problems for me! Lol.

Some of you knew it, but some of you didn't: I have been playing CoD1 on my dad's pc for the past month under the name "Dad." I chose not to use my name because I was not willing to humiliate myself in that time. Lol. I will be playing under my own name once I get everything installed.

Windows Back-up only backs up certain files like Music, Videos, Documents, etc., but not specific programs. I will spend a few days on insalling everything. Xfire is installed along with Black Ops (picked that up a few days ago for $49.99 on sale) except steam is annoying and won't let me get on multiplayer. If anyone knows how to fix that, lemme know. I didn't buy it off steam, I have the DVD, but it's a mandatory steam install. I call it BS.


So yeah... I'll be fully functional in a few days and I might even enter the SOTW #2!
