| So this year while attending Northern Illinois University I joined the SAE Mini Baja team, what is a Mini Baja you might ask well it's a form of offroad vehicle that we completly design and build ourselves following a set of guidelines put out by the SAE (society of automotive engineers). We are given a basic Briggs and Straton 10 HP engine and then we proceed to build the lightest most durable vehicle that will compete in events such as a rock crawl, dynamic steering course, hill climb, and then the big event which is a 4 hour long endurance race against over 100 other schools. During this race we go over obstacles such as jumps, logs, rocks, moguls, pretty much anything you could possibly imagine having to run over. When we get these cars fully tuned and with the right tires we can push them between 30-40 mph and turn on a dime without tipping, they are a whole lot of fun to take for a spin This is our car from last year [img]  [/img] This is our car from two years ago [img]  [/img] and just because I feel like it and because they pretty much took up all my summer heres me with our three baby horses ( by baby i mean around 2 years old) [img]  [/img] | |

| Those are some pretty sweet buggys  .... The horse all the way to the right looks like my old horse... he was a race horse and by the way i have the same water tub for them to drink out of. | |
