Oldman from MsM

Just thought i would share this with Ownt . alot of ppl here know who this is .


This may be quite long but please bear with me. I come here asking for this favor because I know of the beliefs most of you hold that there is a higher power. I find it funny, not haha funny, but maybe more unusual that I feel that for some odd reason I know most of you and consider you all friends. I have a few close personal friends and it is hard to explain why, having not met any of you face to face, that I would have no problem welcoming any of you into my home and feeling that I have known you for years. Funny thing this internet.

Today was not a good day for my wife. To give you a brief history, in the years we have been together (25) she has battled crohn's/ulcerative colitis for twelve of them. She has had the worst kind of thyroid cancer. She has had four operations to remove cancerous skin melanomas. And to top it off she has had to put up with me the last twenty-five years.

Today we met with another doctor to go over a mass they had found during a CT scan and MRI earlier this month. It is on her kidney. Talking with the doctor it is a high probability that this is also cancerous. 90% in fact. Not to get into all kinds of details but the operation to remove the tumor does not look promising that they will be able to save her kidney. It is also risky based on the location of the tumor and her renal artery, which makes the possibility of her bleeding a real threat to her life. They will more than likely have to remove the whole kidney. Her surgery is scheduled for February 13.

So my favor from you, and I know, since I have witnessed it before, that the power of prayer can do amazing things, I ask for a few for my wife. I know many of you have had your own challenges through life and have your own worries and concerns, but if you can slip an extra one in, I would be forever grateful.

Prayers. Seems like so many bad things are happening to good people.. My aunt was just diagnosed with leukimia.. A good friend of my mom's just died in her sleep.. Some people I know just lost their business to a fire.. And another family member has to go monday for a CAT scan, to see what's causing their headaches.. Terrible times. But prayer works..

I would like to thank you Cap'n for posting this on your forum. I, along with my wife sincerely appreciate it. I also, want to thank Lee, Dev, Paul, XSniper and Morris for their well wishes. I am humbled everyday by the support and prayers from the people I have had the good fortune of meeting through a silly on-line game and community. It amazes me sometimes.

You are all genuinely good people and I wish the very best for all of you with the troubles you all face in life. Take care and thank you once again.

Hope, everything turned out okay for your wife. Remember gods has a plan for everything, you might not realize it now but later in wife you will. I will pray for her.

Something that he was almost positive before, was cancerous. He said the benign tumor was a somewhat rare kind and not what he was expecting to find. The tumor was located in a precarious spot but he was able to remove it without damage to her renal artery.

And this is where I give credit to a higher power. Where we had prepared for a not so rosey outcome, we have been blessed with a very positive one. I can't help but believe that my friends here also had a hand in it with the outpouring of prayers and thoughts for my wife.

While others are suffering and going through tough times, I have to ask myself why some, like my wife and myself, are spared the heartache and pain others have to face.
