Signature Programs

okay, so i have a program call Microsoft Digital Imaging Pro 10.
its eh, pretty good, but doesnt do have the stuff im seeing here.

ive heard of all these other programs like.... Gimp, Photoshop.

my question is....which is the best, that requires not having to pay
im a pretty artistic guy, id like to show it off, but i dont have the money
for photoshop

GIMP is a free, lower-step version of Photoshop, but it still works great! Most of the tools are identical to those in Photoshop.
