Personally I like MDM more than the Viking metal. Amon Amarth has a couple good songs, my favs are Victorious March, The Free Will Sacrifice and Runes To My Memory. If you like Amon Amarth, try Insomnium, sometimes I have trouble telling the two apart LOL.

Bush, if you like metal I highly suggest Made of Hate and Archeon, they are the same band but Made of Hate has no keyboard. Not very well known bands either as far as I know. As well as another band called Imperanon, although they use their keyboard a little too much, they are still pretty decent.

Dark Tranquility is good..if you're looking for main stream american classic-modern metal, metallica...'nuff said hahahah..metallica pwns their genre in the 3 decades they've been around

Got a few bands to talk about

first if you like metal bands with female lead singers you should definately check out Otep, Nightwish, and Arch Enemy, all of which are really good bands with awesome singers, as for nightwish, the original singer sounded better, her voice was more calming.

next is disturbed

they are an awesome metal band, and i love everyone of their songs except for one which is on the album "Believe" and its called Darkness, its their only slow song and it isnt all that great, but they're still an amazing band

Otep is the only band I haven't heard really heard of, I have some Arch Enemy, they have good music, but personally the woman singer that screams like a man is a little too weird for me. I also have some Nightwish, but its not really one of my favs, they're decent tho

true, as for arch enemy, she sounds like a guy in some of her songs, but shes got a few where you can tell shes a girl

Slipknot ...nuff said, their song "snuff" is friggin awesome if you havent heard it listen

Slipknot = ewwwww They have maybe 2 songs that I can listen to, otherwise not a fan.
