Some changes to Ownt :)

Good Afternoon Everyone,

The purpose of this communication is to bring you all up to speed on some of the things that have been going on lately and to squelch some rumors.

Lets get the rumors out of the way first:
1. No I am not leaving.
2. No we are not abandoning the 1.3 patch
3. Yes we are getting 2 servers on the 1.5 patch.

OK now for the news:
Yes as rumor 3 suggested we are getting 2 servers on CoD 1.5. The reason for this is two things.
1. It will help expand our member base.
2. Myself and Waho have been talking and we both are figuring that the shut down of cod 1.1-1.4 is a fairly entertained Idea by activision. While we don't know when this will happen.. It might be tomorrow or 4 years from now, But by putting two servers on 1.5 right now it will allow us to start getting our name out there so the pond won't seem so big if and when they shut down 1.3.

How this will work:
- I will be adding another section to the forums and tweaking the current ones so that their will be a section for 1.3 and 1.5.

- All officer ranks will remain the same on both patches.

- All member ranks will remain the same. Weather you play on 1.5 or 1.3 your rank will be good on either patch. Myself and animal where talking yesterday and we where going to do something to try and split them.. then I had a revaluation on my way into work. Why are we doing this. If you earn the rank then you should be able to wear the rank. Like in the Army now You may be a Sgt in one squad but if you get tossed into another squad you don't become a Pvt.. you stay a Sgt.

You will on the other hand have to apply to join the other patch. If you wish to be able to promo up on in a different patch.


So in the long run I guess this is still the beginning but we hope to let it form a nice pretty shape by the time we are done

No Rolink, someone can be a 1.3 member, and be in a different 1.5 clan, it acts as 2 seperate clans in the two versions.

If you are in ownt in any version, you can not be in another clan in that same version.

You can me a member of one and not the other. It is totally voluntary.

I think we should have 2 companies as we did in [SGC] (SG and AT squads)

I hope the addition of 1.5 works out.

I want to see how the response is to it.. if it is goo I'll set up squads for 1.5 too.

Do I have to make an application to get into 1.5 and if so, where? Also does anyone know where to get the 1.5 patch for a mac?

I will be finding patches and organizing this more But no anyone who is currently in Ownt will be able to just join the 1.5 sector with out resubmitting a app they will also retain their current rank!

ok umm one very good success thing here bout 1.5. There are a lot of people, especially ones that like to go to new clans. So with some publicity (i.e a server.) it will be easier to start a clan there.

Not really moving crab..just putting a couple servers on 1.5 our main stay will remain in 1.3
