Unfortunately both of those are Nashville pop "country".......... you want real country just go on down to Texas and listen to some good music...

Granted I do respect Toby Keith...... he's a little bit more outlaw country then Nashville but some of his songs are way to Nashville
btw if ur wondering what I'm talking about, in my mind country has several sub genres like most music types.
Country is divided as such
Bluegrass, Nashville, Texas, Outlaw,
in the past specially around the 90's Texas and Nashville were very similar thanks to a lot of influence from the older singers like George Straight, Garth Brooks, and Chris Ledoux but recently Nashville has become a little to much like pop for me. Real country music is supposed to be sung about your life and living hard, and is really meant to come from the soul. Chris Ledoux lived the life, the man would ride the bulls during the day and play the show at night. He traveled from rodeo to rodeo selling cassettes out of the back of his truck.... and in my mind that's country... not Taylor Swift, not Lady Antabellum, not Steel Magnolia, not all this crap that Nashville is trying to sell with singers singing about being rich and famous and singing to pop beats with a southern accent..............................
