| Looking for some FPS games to play. Just finishing up L4D1/2 and need something to entertain me. Anyone recommend Crysis? I am really looking for the perfect combo of sci-Fi and realism. All opinions are welcome!
Thanks |

| Give all the FEAR games a go. They aren't the best in terms of shooting but they have great suspense. | |

| Yes, the FEAR games aren't bad. Amnesia if you count it as an FPS, it's more of a Survival Horror/Puzzle game. Also, I've never played the first Crysis but I've played Crysis 2 and it's definitely worth playing (depends of the price you pay for it of course).
Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are both good games too. There's Deus Ex, but it's an FPS/RPG, I've never really played it but I've heard good things from the game and there's also Deus Ex: Human Revolution which just came out today.

| The FEAR series is absolutely amazing, the combat system in there is impeccable. FEAR 3 has this special multiplayer mode that combines aspects of CoD zombies and L4D which is perhaps the most fun gametype ever created.
If you're gonna play Crysis, I recommend playing the first one before you play the second one to get the story line, but if you don't have a god-computer then that won't be possible, so just get the story line from YouTube.
Another good sci-fi FPS mashup you could play is Battlefield 2142, it runs on the same engine as Battlefield 2 if you are familiar with it, and its a pretty fun game.
Lost Planet isn't an FPS (3rd person) but it's still a really fun game, if you like survival type games.

| Well, you can Google the minimum/recommended specs for any game and compare with your computer specs. But I don't know about any other site like canyourunit.com though, sorry.

| compare processor speed in GHz. If you have ~2.5GHz or more, then you should be able to run most games on mid-high settings | |

Pretty much this (except if the rest of the computer is bad, of course).

Pretty much this (except if the rest of the computer is bad, of course). Yeah, don't buy games based just off your processor. Having a 1GB Video Graphics Card is a big plus, or else you'll bottleneck your system. I'd say 4GB of RAM is enough for 98% of all games.
