Wanting to start from scratch

Okay, so I have a goal to build my own computer from scratch. At this point, I'm just gathering information and doing research, so it's nothing more than a goal and idea. Also, no specified budget. So if you have any ideas for me, I'll gladly take them. Thanks

lol my dads computer cost over 10k but he uses it for 3D modeling

Haha, go for it Rom, I'll let you know my budget when I have a better idea of when I'm going to do this, I just feel like looking around at all my options right now

I'm right here. Start off the same way I do, pick your two base companies. For CPUs pick either Intel or AMD (I prefer AMD for their overclocking). For your graphics card pick either ATI or Nvidia (I prefer Nvidia because they own all).

Yeah, I was probably gonna stick with Nvidia since I've had problems with ATI in the past, as for the core, I've always had an Intel, if I did have an AMD I didn't pay attention haha. Anyways, thanks for the tips Rune.
