Hard times

for promotions its really not fair i mean people who arent as talented are gonna stay the same rank forever so we should do score and u deserve it promo style.(jsut my opinion)

We are not doing promos strictly off of scor3es, that is just the main way, we will still be giving promos to a few members when admins are all in agreement on it

Lol Crabzy ..yeah, i probally wont be getting a promo via scores anytime soon, I thought PFC requirement was 20-15, but its 30-15, so i was 10 kills off

You can get promo scores from auto servers too. Not just rifles. Try there if you want a change from the rifle servers. MSM all weaps is the one most used.

I tried all weapons, still doesnt work out rofl, it makes me have to get used to people running around and shooting randomly :P

Well, ya, if you do that, you won't get a good score. There is some strategy to all weapons. Set trips, get used to the spawn zones and nade the heck out of them. Brecourt and Hurtgen maps are the best ones for rifles for those who are used to a rifle. Don't use the scopes as they are tough. Use the kar98 and a thompson for when you do get close to them. Also, for those two maps, always try to get on German.

you can also watch good players... play and you'll learn their tricks. I started playing CoD1 a little over a year ago and I was BAAAAAD (ask Smash). I spectated people playing who I knew were beast and now I use their tricks and some I learned on my own. I get an average score of 70-30 now. (that's AVERAGE. meaning all my games combined) I do have better but... that's beside the point.

Especially watch the good ppl on rifles so you get better at rifles because if you can kill with a rifle, you can own at autos .

the harder achievements also give members a reason to try harder and to get better... if they try for awhile on to get it... eventually they can get it in their sleep

i gota say im with pontiac on this one we are giving out promos to everyone everyday someone gets a promo or maybe we should limit 1 promo every 2 weeks or something cause its getting hectik wit the hole promo stuff

Hellraiser, I think the prmotions wil stop once they reach the rank before Sergeant Major.(Dont know what that is but.....)Anyway i dont think ANYONE not even the Officers of Capt., Gen., Col., could get 90-20 twice let alone 100-20

Don't be so sure. I have seen it. All it takes is to get lucky at Brecourt with a full server of noobs. You can really rack the kills up on that map. Also, just before SGC died, I got a 89-22 at Carentan, and that was with an 8 year old computer. Just think what these guys with new computers can do. Romanian has hit those ratios before, I am pretty sure. He is a beast with a Thompson...

Heck, Bolt got a 128-20 one time on Ship. I know he still has that ss somewhere if he looked for it.

I dont wanna cause argument or call you guys a liar.But do you really think that someone is going to get 100-20 2 TIMES.I really dont think so.If they do which i mean someone could.They might get it once.Then they might not get it again for mabye another year or two. No one wants to wait 2 years for a promotion.Yes i get why Vix did make it hard so people would have a challenge and not be rank one week rank next week and rank next week.

No arguement here. I agree it is tough. Now granted I can't see the promo requirements yet as I am still a recruit , but like someone said above they can give out promos for other reasons than scores. Also, if you are playing for just promos, you could get burnt out and frustrated . Play to have fun, that is the important thing.

If you ever get a real high score like that.. make sure u post it in the ss section... as we do monitor. that.. And if I see some consitant High scores... I'd be willing to bed the rules a little :P

well i just want to go back to the old way of promotions i dont hurt to stay in 1 rank for a good amount of time until you prove yourself that you ain gona do the clan dirty!

And there is already a limit set that you can get no more than 1 promo a week and you can not skip ranks

So, theres other ways to get promos? Please explain....I doubt fusterating a admin spamming the same sentence or and over again wont get you to far as being a ignorant waste of resources.

Phinox.. the way to get promos.. is by the promotion system... Is what I was saying.. is the myself and the other admins.. will still give a rank up every once and a while to players.. who have a hard time getting those ranks...

The promotion system is there.. because I will admit it.. it takes time to go through everyone's accts and stuff... and look around at their posts... and see if they are worthy of a promotion and stuff... and sometimes.. Myself or divine.. don't have the time to do it for a while.. then everyone is saying when will i get promo'ed etc etc etc...
So I made the system.. so they can do it on their own initiative

Now on a different note. I understand that some of the scores are high and seem impossible to achieve.. But it gives the essence of a challenge to our promotion hounds :P
I will admit it myself I would be hardpressed to get a 100 to 20 now-a-days Mostly because... Promotions don't really mean alot to me..lol... They use too.. along time ago.. when cod first came out.. lol.. But I've mellowed out since then

So just keep you chin up and have fun.. that is what its all about
