| I need a really, really good antivirus program. All I have now is malware-bytes anti-malware, but that is just a free program. I just did a quick scan (not a full scan) a few minutes ago, and found 33 infected files already. I'm gonna be doing the full scan now, but I need ideas for a new anti virus program that will help me. I'm thinking of getting Bit Defender. | |

| I suggest try Norton or McAfee, those are 2 big anti-virus programs, bit pricey, but they work | |

| Microsoft Security Essentials
Used it for years and never had a problem. And it's totally free too.

As for you just having Malwarebytes in your comp, you do realize that it's just for spyware/adware/malware right? Use both Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes in tandem and you won't have issues.

| Thanks to everyone. I made my decision, asked a couple of my family members and friends, and they told me that Bit Defender would be good to use. I'll be using that from now on, and I'm just hoping there won't be anymore problems. | |

- use avg its free
AVG is a big joke now, it uses way to many system resources and it's so called "gaming mode" is a shame, it's suppose to prevent virus scans while in full screen games, but it doesn't. My advice is the use Microsoft Security Essentials, it is also free and doesn't have one of those if you don't pay you don't get the full use of the program things on it. Rune endorses Microsoft Security Essentials, it's the top choice for gamers as it doesn't use a fraction of what AVG uses for system resources, plus it's free. Try it out, will keep you safe forever.

Couple of things. 1) You misspelled Malwarebytes. 2) For the last time, read the name of "MALWARE"bytes. It is specifically for malware and spyware, it does nothing to protect you against a "VIRUS". Sheese people.
