It was a cold night when Sgt. Brick was called to duty as the thermal imaging operator on a AC-130 Thermal Gun ship. It was 9:30 Pm When he, Cpt. Johnson, 1stLt. martineau, and Cpl. Rathis, ass this was not normal for many people of different factions to man up for a joint operation, they were puzzled when they found out they were not manning there AC-130 Gunship, They had a bigger problem, Pfc. Smith had went MIA after giving his last Operator call from someones radio in the frontlines of Iraq. There had been talk of him skulking in the darkness of the cocentration camp called Dogstar. he was a key role in the war as he was one of the only 18 yr olds able to pilot there beloved AC-130's. They were told to pack up and get their stuff ready they would be leaving at 0300 hrs, in the dead of the night so that the enemy would not notice their Pavelows. So there they were Saving Pfc. Smith.

PFC. Smith awoke suddenly Shivering in the darkness.. "Where am I??"...Then he remembered..

Somehow he had gotten seperated from the rest of his group and the last thing he remembered he had been tackled from behind and blindfolded, Then thrown down a flight of stairs where he hit his head and blacked out

"I may as well get up and feel my way around this dungeon or whatever it is." He got up, Stumbling in the darkness...All of the sudden light shown in from above, Someone had opened a door..3 men all wearing ski masks came walking in..

Pfc. Smith noticed an alarm going off when the three men rushed in. They didn't look like terrorist forces, but somehow, his gut feeling told him to run, he tried but one of the three men knocked him out. He screamed for help, praying that God would get him out of this mess. The three men turned around and were shocked, the expression on their faces was that of death. He saw 4 men rush in, 3 shot the guards, while one untied him and said "Smith, Get a weapon were going in, and were going in hard."

Smith grabbed one of the weapons laying by the dead masked men..The 5 men ran out of the building and down the road to a helicopter.."Where am I?" asked smith, "Pakistan" came the reply.."Hurry and get in, We hafta get outta here quick!" "I thought I was in Afghanistand?!" "You WERE in Afghanistand. The Taliban cought you walking down a road and took you POW. Then they transferred you to Pakistan while you were knocked out..They were planning to interrogate and kill you. Be thankful we saved your sorry arse" "Oh, I am very thankful!" "If it hadn't been for the higher-uppers we woulda left you to rott..No use in us risking oursleves for you!" "Wow, You guys are heartless..Who else in this crew can operate a AC-130?" "That's true..Maybe THATS why they wanted us to rescue your sorry self." "Prepare for inpact!!" came the cry from the pilot..

A red light flashed at the front of the cockpit, turning Martineau saw the burning tracer of a stinger missle winding its way through the clouds towards them. The pavelow dropped altitude and spread flares trying to throw off the lock the deadly missle had on their tail. The flares bought the crew a few seconds of time but soon the missle closed and impacted the rear rotor. Debri shattered into the compartment slicing a deep gash into Bricks arm before brutally wrenching apart the two pilots. Alarms blared and the chopper span out of control. The five remaining men assumed the fetile position as the ground raced up to meet them. 1:50 chance 1 of us will survive this, Rathis thought to himself, 1:5 we all die.

By now they were on the Iran border, covered in rubbel, they looked up, Cpt. Johnson looked at Brick and Smith and said get up "they're coming!"
you could see in the horizon for miles, but there were specs getting bigger and bigger, Rathis looked over and said "Pilots dead, we gotta find a way outta here" Martineau said " WWe've got 5 miles til were safe, i got reinforcements with tanks, they can't cross the border, because in the fear of the troops, they dont wants to get killed." Smith overexcited screamed, "What the hell man aren't they supposed to be saving our a****?" Brick replied calm down tactic will get us outta this, we all know a litle tactical intelligence

Rathis pulled his Intervention from the crew cab. He glanced up at the trucks racing towards them and then back at the open expense of land where they were heading. He fingered the cross at his neck and whispered a few words in Capt. Johnson's ear before handing over his Canteen and a few personal belongings. The Captain stared at the man before he nodded slowly for the remaining men to move out. Each man stared at Rathis as they moved past, but the man was silent setting up the large rifle on an outcrop of rocks. Smith stopped by the man and reached down to shake his hand "Thank you," he said. Rathis nodded and then replied "Just make sure they all get home." With that the marine turned his attention to his approaching doom. After walking for about a mile the group turned around to watch for a few seconds. There was a line of burning trucks all the way from the road to the crash site and by the site the remaining trucks had unloaded their militias who were desperatly trying to overrun the lone marine. The Intervention cracked distinctly over and over agian as more and more militia men fell. Smith had a small glimpse of hope that the marine might be able to hold them off until he heard the softer cracking of a .45. The militia screeched a prayer to Allah and then charged forward, the fast firing sound of the Ak-47 pierced right into Smiths heart. He could see the militiamen hoisting the marines dead body and the Captain slowly patted his shoulder. "Lets go, he bought us this time were not going to waste it."

Johnson looked back trying to hold back emotions and screamed" "
they got to a safe distance, they hid behind the rocks while they drew out their plans, Brick sat there wondering if there mission was unsuccesful because their orders were to get him and get the hell out, easy and clean, no injuries, no deaths. The words still burned into the back of his skull what General Vix said before they left, remember, if you are to be interrogated you will not mention any 3 letter US services, don't tell what affiliation your from, don't mention your names, your objective, your safety, your ride home or anything else to reveal info of where you were from. As he came back to thought Smith was yelling "Brick come on man there coming we gotta get the hell outta here before they get your arse!" Brick got up thinking, he then snapped back into reality, looking at the horizon he could see a frindly, shocked he yelled guys friendly at your twelve!

As they heqard the battles and screams die down they sent the friendly to check it out. When he reached the rock barriar he radioed back, it says if you want to see the American you will surrender to us, come clean and none of you will be hurt - Signed Viktor Alazah

They knew what they had 2 do, face their there enemy. They devised a plan, kill them all and save their friend. They did have weapons: Johnson has a colt .45 with eight bullets, martineau a thompson with 2 rounds of 32, brick has a m1 grand 2 rounds of 8, smith has a scoped spring field 1 round of 6 bullets. It was go time!!!

As they went in the general direction that the chopper had crashed they were thinking of ways to counter it if it was a trap. johnson sent out a uav to see the near-by enemies while Smith pondered"why the hell we using ww2 weapons?"

Sgt. Mertz was sitting in his jeep, Stinger by his side, ordered to destroy any Enemy Craft nearby. With all the buildings around, he can't get a clean shot. He is scared.

Then Smith looking through his scope spots 4 more bogeys on the edge of the hill. he looks more and see's that not only are there 4 bogeys but there are two tanks as well. Smith looks at there weapons and they all have heavy machine guns.Smith thinks "God help us".
