MsM Problems.

I received an email from MsM saying, "You're account on MsM Forums has been deleted."

I went on their server (Marn was on) and I was kicked. I reconnected and asked why I had been kicked. Then I got kicked again.

I went on their forums to ask what's going on and tried to make a new account. It said I'm forbidden to make an account.

What the heck did I do to deserve this?

This was sent to me via email earlier this evening. It was taken from the RPC forums I assume. Do to the fact that Pinhead made the video and I could not find it on Ati anywhere. I have no idea if the text with is legit or not. The video kinda speaks for itself though...

I finally started recording after at least 10 people were kicked by Marn from the server. I guess when some members donate $50 to them it pays for the server for months, you dont care who plays. Either that or to ensure he has highest score, just didnt understad the reasoning as I watched this go on for quite a while. If someone can explain why, I guess you needed to be there for the uncalled for kicks and bans,

Rom, there were a number of accounts that were inadvertently denied or banned. Not sure what all the problem was, but it effected even MsM members. I think Pun has been putting in quite a bit of time to correct the problems. I will let Pun respond to Vix about it.

As far as the video, I am not here to speak for Marn or the reason those players were kicked. I do know, players are not kicked for no reason and definitely not because they have a better score. Do some players get kicked inadvertently? Yes. It happens when the wrong number is put into console or rcon. Being banned takes a little more and usually the ones that are banned have deserved it. Like the Ownt server, we have rules also. And whether everyone agrees with those rules or not, they are to be followed. If someone doesn't want to follow your rules or ours, then they are free to play elsewhere.

I also believe most of you are smart enough to know that sometimes players ping out and are stuck in limbo. That may have been the case with many of the ones that got kicked. Without being there it is all speculation. And judging it based on a short video...would make me even more skeptical.

AHH Thank you much for posting Oldman,

I have know Marn for a while now. We where in 31st together way back in the day. I have always known him to be level headed and a all round great guy. I know there is a reason for all this that has happened due the fact that Marn has proven over time not to act rashly or with spite. I have put Pm's into both Marn and Punishment and I'm sure they will supply me with a answer in due time.

I just have grown tired of the constant bashing of the different clans and servers. And who's the best and who hacks and who bans for no reason and the clan hoppers. The 1.3 world of COD is small enough the way it is, then to go causing trouble with someone else's forums, servers, etc. I wish some could just grow up and enjoy the playing of the game instead of the other bs that seems to rise to the top sometimes. There is more gossip in the COD community than the beauty salon my Mom went to back in the day.

The drama is a huge wear and tear and totally unnecessary. I for one have never seen a problem with any of your server rules. As a matter of fact some of Ownts where born off of MsM Rules. You guys try to run a Family orientated server "Fun for all ages" as I would put it. I am in almost constant communication between myself and Punishment over issues. If only people would realize that it would be more enjoyable for everyone themselves included if they just obeyed the rules and played nice in our Big sandbox As you put our CoD world is shrinking at a very alarming rate. I can only hope that people realize that just because they can log into the server that does not mean they can do what they will. I thank you for your words here Oldman they have helped clarify somethings with this issue and help drive home my wish for a drama free cod (It will never happen, But it is a nice fantasy)

Punishment did not know why you where kicked earlier. I put a PM into Marn about this issue, Punishment also stated he would inquire with Marn. I will let you know when I hear something.

Rom, as far as I know you have done nothing wrong. The routing problem was experienced by others and I am not sure what they had to do to get it corrected. Sorry, I am pretty clueless when it comes to most computer problems. I use a mac so most problems I don't experience.

Ha, we just learned about CIDR yesterday in class. I don't see why that would affect anything tho.

When they say you were banned because of a CIDR it more than likely means they banned a block of ip's and not just your individual one.

I have spoken with Marn, He said he was not kicking you. He did however kick someone else. So it might just be a case of the server selecting other people to kick out when you kick one. I once got permanently banned by Multi during my [SGC] days when he used in game kicking to tray and ban a hacker. It was the hacker Myself and one other person that got the boot that night.
